ARGUS Sentinel / Android pilot
Pilot User Agreement
Version 1.13102026. Please read this agreement before applying. By ticking the agreement box and submitting the form, you agree to these terms. Applying does not guarantee an invitation to the pilot.
1. Pilot Participation and Eligibility
Argus Sentinel Pty Ltd ("Argus Sentinel", "we", "us" or "our") may invite selected applicants to evaluate a preview version of our Android security application (the "Software"). You must be at least 18 years old and use the Software only on Android devices you own or are authorised to use and administer.
2. Pilot Licence and Ownership
If we give you access, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Software on authorised devices solely to evaluate it during your pilot participation. We and our licensors retain ownership of the Software and its intellectual property. You receive no rights beyond the licence expressly stated here.
3. Acceptable Use
You must not share or resell access to the Software; copy, modify or distribute it; remove proprietary notices; or decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer it, except where applicable law permits you to do so despite this restriction. You must not use the Software to access another person's device, account or data without authorisation, or interfere with the Software or its supporting services. If we issue access credentials, keep them secure and tell us promptly if you suspect they have been compromised.
4. Duration and Availability
Pilot access may last for up to two months from the date access begins, unless we tell you otherwise. We may change the pilot's timing, features, eligibility, availability or scope, or pause or end the pilot. We will communicate material changes to participants where reasonably possible. You may stop participating at any time.
5. Preview Software and Device Security
The Software is under development. It may contain errors, change, become unavailable, affect device performance or fail to detect a threat. It is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or complete protection.
Review the Software's permission requests and data notices before installing it. Back up your device and important data, maintain your usual security precautions, and do not rely on the Software as your only security measure.
6. Feedback and Pilot Materials
We may invite you to report issues or suggest improvements ("Feedback"). Feedback is voluntary. You retain any rights you have in Feedback you provide, but grant us a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, adapt and incorporate it into our products and services without further permission, payment or attribution.
Do not include another person's private information, passwords, security credentials or confidential material in Feedback unless you are authorised to share it. If we clearly identify non-public pilot materials as confidential when providing them, do not publish or share them without our permission, unless they are already public through no breach by you or disclosure is required by law. You may report a security concern to us through the Contact Us form.
7. Application Information and App Data
We collect the full name, email address, age and country you provide, plus any optional profession and "about you" text, to review your application, administer the pilot and contact you about it. We also record the agreement version and submission time. Application information is stored using Google services and is accessible to authorised Argus Sentinel administrators. It may be processed outside your country through those services.
To limit repeated automated applications, we temporarily use a protected hash of your network address to count submissions and may ask you to complete a Cloudflare verification. Cloudflare may process network and browser information for that verification.
Before you install the Software, review any separate app-specific privacy notice explaining what device, usage or security information the Software collects and how that information is handled. This application agreement does not replace that notice. You can use the Contact Us form to ask about your application information, request access or a correction, request deletion, or withdraw your application. We will consider deletion requests subject to applicable law and any information we reasonably need to retain.
8. Ending Participation
You may withdraw at any time by uninstalling the Software and contacting us. We may suspend or end your access if the pilot ends or changes, if you breach this agreement, or if continued access presents a security or operational risk. When your access ends, you must stop using and uninstall the Software. Ending participation does not automatically delete information already collected; requests concerning that information can be made under Section 7.
9. Legal Rights and Liability
Nothing in this agreement excludes, restricts or modifies any right, guarantee, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, including any applicable rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to those rights and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from participation in the pilot or use of the Software.
10. Changes to This Agreement
If we materially change these terms after you apply, we will provide the updated version to affected participants and explain when it takes effect. Where a change requires your agreement, we will ask you to accept it before it applies to your continued use. Any separate terms or privacy notices presented when you receive Software access should also be reviewed before installation.
11. Contact
Questions about the pilot or this agreement can be sent through the Contact Us form.
